Installation instructions for PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing Software version 9.0x

Before beginning any steps, please be sure you have a current backup of your database.

The first step is to determine which version of the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing (formerly Mapleleaf) software you are currently running. To do this you can simply start the billing software and click the Help..About menu item. This will bring up a small informational screen and will show you a version of the software.

If your software version is 8.30 or higher you can continue on with these instructions. Otherwise, you will need to contact PeakKnowledge for technical support in upgrading.

Please note for all users upgrading from 8.x to 9.0x you will need new registration keys. Contact PeakKnowledge to retrieve your keys after purchase.

Do not attempt the upgrade until you have your new registration keys.

Upgrade Steps:

Backup your database.
Download the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing.msi file here. **
Run the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing.msi file to install the new program.
Start the PeakKnowledge Healthcare Billing program.
You may be asked to locate your database, which will be the same location as prior versions. Set the data path if necessary.
When starting the application for the first time you will be met with the registration window. You will need to setup a Company code for your current database as the application now supports mutiple companies. Enter a 5 character or less code to represent your company name.
You will also have to have to enter the new registration keys provided by PeakKnowledge into the system. Your old 8.x keys will not work with the new system. Enter the new key(s) and save. Your product should now be registered and ready to use.
